More Fun Than A Barrel Lamps

     A favorite of the antique trade is the so-called "Gone With the Wind" lamp.  Back around 1905, one of our area wholesalers advertised them as "Decorated Lamps."  We thought you might be interested in seeing some of the patterns available at that time.

     We are curious about the fact that two of the cuts are used more than once.  Was this a mistake?  Were they the same pattern in different colors?  We may never know the answers.  One thing we do know is that the prices have gone up!

     A fascinating revelation of these ads is the fact that the lamps were sold by the barrel!  I suspect we'll look a little closer the next time we see a dusty barrel in an old warehouse.
